Virtual Secret Santa? Let’s wrap it up.

2020 has been a year filled with many uncertainties, particularly surrounding loo roll shortages and estimating the queue time outside Tesco. One thing for certain is that Christmas is approaching thick and fast and whilst we may be tucked away in our quarantine bubbles, there’s snow reason to miss out on some virtual Christmas spirit.

So [can everybody see my screeeen], we’re presenting some of the best ways to do a virtual Secret Santa in 2020 that will keep you safe and bring the festive spirit out over what has been quite a sh*t year.

  1. A Secret Santa Generator
A generator that pairs you up and keeps the secret, a secret. All you’ll need to do is create a group, set a price limit, and share the links with your pals for sign up. It removes all the messy parts of organizing a Secret Santa and makes sending your Secret Santee a gift in the post a doddle. You could even set up a Zoom call to do the all-important unwrapping and be delighted to open those socks you’ve had your eyes on for a while…
Sorry did we mention it’s FREE. Yeah, you’re welcome.

  2. Good old Google Sheets
Feels easier than navigating an Excel yet still makes you feel like a Tech Whizz. Whack out a Google Sheet and get your pals/colleagues/dogs to fill out their name, address and shoe size*. Gather the details together and have somebody pair everyone up. Get your gifts in the post and open them over Zoom with a festive tipple! Yule not regret it.
*Shoe size optional, but it’s a great way to hide that you’re going to send them socks.
  3. Pigeon Carriers
Just kidding. Maybe one for 2021 once the Amazon drones have all been caught by people with big nets.

Hopefully, that gives you some ideas on how to have some festive fun over the Christmas period. Stay safe and Merry Festivities.

If you are going to be meeting in your Christmas bubbles this year, we recommend tying together all of your Christmas crackers just to ensure you’re keeping 2 metres apart at all times.
